Puppetry Design Class- Fall 2021 - Concordia University - Taught by guest teacher Ronnie Burkette

In this creation I explored designing a roaming puppet show with a rolling and improvisational commentary between two parrots. One, a mother, a crone, a wise woman with the ancient knowledge of the universe, and the other, young, brave and filled with curiosity. The two journey together asking questions and reflecting on the complexities of life.

The parrots were made to feel like a painting across the sky. And the costume is transformable to take you from the sea to the skies.
