Set Design Conception Class - Fall 2020 - Concordia University

Inspired by the poem “And Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou, this set was designed to have the swell of waves flow across the stage on tracks sunken into the stage floor. Inspired by Japanese paper cutting, each panel would be intricately cut into wood to allow the layers of the ocean to be seen through the depths of the rising tides.
